A narrative deduction game crossed with an interactive audio drama, from the creators of Heaven's Vault, Overboard! and A Highland Song.
THE STORY
In 1949, a top-secret computer is tasked with decoding the secrets of the universe.
It begins by ingesting a vast number of books in an attempt to learn how to think.
But books are things of power, and some were never meant to be studied too closely.
Now reality itself has been rewritten, and there is only one chance to put things right.
Navigate the machine's archive. Locate and identify its sources. Find the book that broke the world.
THE GAMEPLAY
The machine contains half a centuryโs worth of books, journals and letters, collected and indexed.
One is deadly. One will end the world.
- Deduce links through the archive to locate hidden sources.
- Unravel the stories of the authors, and the machine's creators; unearth their secrets.
- Map the archive, and find the book that will change the future.
INTERACTIVE AUDIO DRAMA
You can talk with your handler, Liam, at any time, creating a dynamic and responsive audio drama that unfolds as you explore. But who is Liam really? And are you alone...?
Featuring the voice talent of Rebekah McLoughlin (The SCP Archives, Eternal Threads), Paul Warren (A Highland Song, Viewfinder, The Seancรฉ of Blake Manor) and Phillipe Bosher (Baldur's Gate 3, Doctor Who).
Original soundtrack by Laurence Chapman (A Highland Song, Heaven's Vault, The Mask of the Rose).
INSPIRATIONS
Inspired by narrative deduction games like Type Help, Her Story, The Roottrees are Dead and The Return of the Obra Dinn, and by audio dramas like The Magnus Archives, TR-49 is a seamless blend of deduction mechanics and interactive fiction.
Written by the award-winning writer and studio behind Heaven's Vault, Overboard!, A Highland Song.
